VAN NUYS – One teenager was killed and two others were injured when their vehicle crashed on the southbound Hollywood Freeway (170) late Friday, the California Highway Patrol said today. The driver, identified only as a 17-year-old male from Glendale, died at the scene. The victim was driving a 2006 Nissan south on the freeway near Chandler Boulevard about 10:15 p.m. when he tried to change lanes and lost control, officials said. The Nissan struck a light pole and several trees.
