Police at a press conference in Grand Turk on Friday confirmed that a ‘forensic analysis’ is what they have in mind and according to head of the investigation, DCP Rodney Adams the case is being handled with special care to assure everything is done correctly. The cause of death tests will begin this week with results taking possibly as much as a week. DCP Rodney Adams: “It is our intention to have the remains examined hopefully within the next week or so. (QUESTION: WILL THE FORENSICS BE DONE IN COUNTRY?) That is still being discussed with the pathologist in country, whether or not they have the tools necessary and the expertise, otherwise we will have to seek outside help.”The public was advised to bring credible information to police as assistance with strong evidence is what police are looking for to secure any arrests.Superintendent Darron Williams: “The speculation that is being rumored in the communities can be a danger to the investigation, and we are appealing to the public to discontinue this. We don’t want in any way to compromise this investigation, we are going without a shadow of a doubt and we are going to relentlessly investigate this matter and we ask that the public just bear with us. We are getting information from the public, and we are checking them out as much as we can. We do not want the public to provide us with false information or to implicate anyone.”No suspects were confirmed or identified. A family liaison officer has been assigned to the Smith’s. TCI Former Premier Gilley shot by armed thugs doing well now

first_imgFacebook Twitter Google+LinkedInPinterestWhatsAppProvidenciales, TCI, February 6, 2017 – Galmo Williams, the former Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands and a leading TCI businessman was shot by a trio of assailants last night and is now recuperating from a gunshot wound to the left leg.  Unbelievably, it seems the shooting was completely unprovoked by the former Parliamentarian. Police just before 8am released information on the armed robbery which happened as 56 year old Williams was on his way to Ricky’s Flamingo Cafe on the Beach, around 10:56pm Sunday not at the Provo Golf Club.   Police do not identify the former Premier in their report but they do say the man cooperated with the trio of masked men and gave them what they asked him for… after he did, they still shot ‘Gilley’ as he is affectionately called in the leg.   Despite reports that a suspect was shot, Police say that is not true and also explain that they do not have anyone in custody for the shooting.   Williams, who also served in an advisory role to the Governor is being treated at the Cheshire Hall Medical, where police found him and is reportedly in good spirits and good condition. #MagneticMediaNews Related Items:#magneticmedianews Recommended for you ALERT # 2 ON POTENTIAL TROPICAL CYCLONE NINE ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY THURSDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER, 2019 AT 9 PM EDT Facebook Twitter Google+LinkedInPinterestWhatsApp The Luxury of Grace Bay in Down Town Provo Electricity Cost of Service Study among the big agenda items at September 11 Cabinet meetinglast_img read more
